Once you do this, you can remove the remainder of the shaft and only have the pinion input shaft in the gearbox. The third place it can leak from is engine oil from between bearing carrier and engine cases. There should be a nice layer of rtv on the upside of the single bearing carrier picture. What can happen is they didn't get enough rtv between cases and bearing carrier. This was more common on the early v twins though. Anyone know what is the size of the copper washer that goes on the oil drain plug of the 2016 Can Am Outlander 800? I want to do an oil change but the manual does not give the size, only to replace the washer.
