Hello Disco 3 owners! I own a Landrover LR3 SE 2005 model . I had my engine washed yesterday after some repair work to my Airconditioning system. And right after the wash, On startup I get the three System Fault Errors below: 1. Transmission Range Change Not Available. 2. System Fault Special Programs Not Available. 3. Diagnose range rover sport or LR3 (MY 2005-2009) height sensor error.0:00 Symptoms2:00 4x4 Info changesFollow up video on how to replace height sensor: https
then you can fix the problem. 2. Nature of the damage Answer on this question is quite simple. The Land Rover key fobs are big and heavy. With normal use drivers tend to drop them on the surfaces that the cars are parked on. With every drop the circuit-battery assembly gets stressed and one day it separates. Now we have an inoperative key fob.
First of all, probably not much is wrong. You are not looking at a new $10,000 transmission regardless of what anyone says. This by the way is the standard fix/response at most Mercedes dealers and not always at Land Rover dealers. If you have more than say 80,000 miles on your LR3, probably you could consider a transmission oil and filter
Jan 23, 2011. #1. Advice required please. We have a 2005 (55 plate) Discovery 3 with the 6 speed manual gearbox. When we bought it last November with 113k on the clock the gear lever seemed a bit sloppy, bit like an old truck! Now coming up to nearly 115k and it will no longer select REVERSE gear. It feels like the lever and/or linkages are

I'm a mechanic and I bought this 2005 LR3 4.4 V8 knowing that had an overheating issue I fixed the leaks, put a new water pump, got the radiator fixed (had a little pin hole, nothing bad) replaced some hoses that looked old and non trusty, put new thermostat with Near perfection. It has cost me unbelievably perhaps less than any car I have ever had, in running costs, allowing for the tasks (laden with up to six on school runs in all weather conditions) , lots of trailer towing , alps trips , oil changed in auto box at 141,000 miles, no problems, usual wear and tear (new bushes, discs & pads ) .

I now have a random fault when I try to lock the driver's door. When I press the remote on the key fob, the indicators flash (as usual) but sometimes the driver's door will not lock. If I test the driver's door sometimes the door will open and the horn alarm will start sounding. Pressing the unlock button stops the alarm. This is a random problem.

This shows you how to repair or replace the switch on your Land Rover Discovery 3 & 4 ( LR3 LR4 )
