Phillips screw drive is all that is needed. Then remove the filters using a 1 1/16" socket. Expect to get 5-6 ozs of fuel draining out of both filters. I just used fuel to lube the O rings. Reinstalled the filters and tightened. I used the procedure to fill the filters but it still died.

WK2 2013 3.0 CRD MAP sensor location. Once in a while i get the "107 MAP sensor voltage too low" fault code. This happens more in "Auto" mode than in "Sport" mode. I've bought a workshop book, but still unable to locate this sensor. The manual states is at the end of the intake hose.
As for oil, most reputable full synthetic oils meet mercedes standards. In fact the very best value oil is Bursons own brand 10/40 fully synthetic. It surpasses SAE standards for Mercedes diesel engines and its cheaper than all the others. Whilst you are under the hood, have a look at the inlet ducting to your turbo.
3.0 CRD fuel pump noise. My wife's 07 Jeep Grand Cherokee CRD has had all kinds of problems. The one I can not seem to fix is the in tank lift pump makes all kinds of hissing and serging noise. I have replaced the filter with no change. Replacing the pump makes it go a way for a little while but it came back.
